About Planning Data Hub

Planning Data Hub is a private‑sector project that aggregates publicly available planning‑application data from local authorities across the UK. Our goal is to make open planning data easier to search, analyse and integrate into business and research tools, while respecting every council’s data‑sharing terms and technical limits.

Principles

• Legality & respect: We only access public registers or explicitly permitted APIs, respecting rate limits and licences.
• Accuracy: We normalise data fields without altering the meaning of the source record.
• Attribution: Every record carries its originating council source URL.
• Transparency: If a council publishes a better feed, we switch.
